No Turkey

Edit Post
Just a quick note to say no dead turkey here. I think I am addicted to turkey hunting now. Lots of gobbles and a couple missed opps. I'll get into details in a later post.
I am now much wiser to hunting turkeys, and hope to use my new knowledge for next year (I can't wait). I am going to be doing lots and lots of reading for next year so if any one knows of any good articles about turkeys send them my way.
To sum up my hunts adrenaline filled, tons of fun, lots of walking, exciting, and last disappointing. Now I have a lot more respect for turkeys now and the hunters who have shot them. I always thought they were dumb birds.

Sorry about your luck. Can't get 'em all and that's why they call it hunting. But, with the experience gained, I'm sure you'll be mounting a fan and beard for seasons to come.
I'm sorry to hear of your bad luck as well. My season starts in less than two days so we'll see what happens. The weather isn't looking all that great to be honest.
I haven't even been out for turkey this spring. My dad said there weren't as many around as usual and I've got a ton of stuff to do at home, so I'm not sure I'll go at all.
Glad to hear you had a good time and gained some valuable knowledge - that is the important part! I've been hunting turkeys about 10 years, and they never cease to amaze me. Just when I think I have them figured out, they find a way to humble me with a birdless season. Fortunately, that won't be the case this year, as I filled the first of my two Kentucky tags yesterday morning! Take care and keep at it.
I am glad you got the experience in this year. That way you can guide me next year!!
Wandering owl, I gained a ton of experience and can't wait for next year, even if I don't pull a tag, I know how to help out my fellow hunters.
Rick, Good luck on your hunt hope you have better luck then me.
Bitmap, Hope you can find the time to get out and hunt. I completly understand about not having the time I always struggle to fit my hunting time in.
Poor Boys Outdoors, Congrats on filling your tags! I hope I can say that next year. I never knew turkeys were so smart.
Arbor, Next year it's on you will get a bird. After all of the seasons are over hit me up and we can go out and get you some calls and gear, so you can call with the best of them.
